Getting Over The Death Of A Loved One

From the book Don’t Judge A Book By Its Cover.

Death is a hard lesson to understand for most people. But what we have to understand is that life on earth is only temporary. Life is a school, and we’re not supposed to be here forever; one day we’ll graduate, and some earlier than others. And yes, it’s hard and difficult for those who are left behind and still have to deal with the struggles of life.

But death is a natural part of life, and there’s nothing to do about it. Death can be seen as something positive or something negative; it’s up to you. You can see it as a release from pain and suffering and as a beginning of the way back home to the source where souls really do belong. Or you can choose to be in constant pain for the loss of a loved one or the fear of dying.

Some people ask themselves: “Why did that good person have to die so young?” There’s a saying that “God missed His angel, and that He wanted His angel to come back home to Heaven.” And often we see good, loving, wise people who have been a light in the world die young. They leave earth earlier than others, maybe because they have served their purpose and are ready to go home. But there are also many “angels” who stay for a longer time, so that they can teach, heal, and guide more people before they go.
When it’s time, it’s time, and we all have a limited time here on earth; we need to learn to make the best of our time here.

Death is just a passage to another life in a better place. Your physical body dies, but your soul and Spirit lives on.

What’s worse than death itself is living your whole life scared of it and worrying about it, because birth and death are part of life, and we’re all going to experience it someday. And we need to let go of the resentment towards God when people in our lives die, and let go of the fear of our own death.
Separation from loved ones is only temporary, and you will see your loved ones again, just in a better place.
