Can You Handle The Truth?

Just Because It’s Comfortable It Doesn’t Mean It’s Right

Galatians 4:16:
So have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?

John 8:44:
You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is a liar and the father of lies.
But because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me. Which one of you convicts Me of sin? If I speak truth, why do you not believe Me? He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God.

The difference between God and the devil is that God is a man of the Truth and a man of His Word. But the devil is a father of lies, and the truth is not in him. The devil is a deceiver, and he will do anything to deceive you to sin.

The difference is that God will tell you the truth that you need to hear and the devil will tell you the lies that you want to hear.
What we want is not always what we need, and what we want to hear is not always what we need to hear.
Just because someone is telling you all the right things and are complimenting you, it doesn’t mean that it is necessary the truth or that this person wants the best for you.

This is one of the biggest reasons that people walk the road of the devil, which leads to misery and suffering, rather than walking the narrow path of God, which leads to peace and joy.
Because people would rather hear what’s comfortable to satisfy their flesh, rather than hearing the uncomfortable truth they need to hear and do not want to hear.
God tells you to obey Him and follow certain rules, while the devil tells you to do what you please and do what you want at all times. Of course it’s more fun and comfortable and easy to do what we like all the time, but it doesn’t mean that it’s right and what’s best for us.
If you gave a child the possibility to do what they like all the time, imagine the mess they would make. Let adult people do the same, and they will make a mess in their lives too.
We need rules, guidelines, and restrictions to keep us in a safety zone that is good and healthy for us. So that we can keep our lives in balance and in order.
