Don’t Lose Your Soul To Gain The World

Don’t Compromise To Fit In The World

Luke 9:25:
For how would a man benefit to gain the whole world but destroy his soul or lose it?

Compromising is dangerous, because it seems like a small, innocent thing, but after a while when you’ve compromised little by little, again and again, eventually you’ll cross the line and have no boundaries at all.

It’s from “just” one beer a week to a beer every day. It’s from “just” trying drugs one time to becoming an addict and using drugs every day.

It’s from “just” borrowing money from one credit card to so many credit cards that you can’t even count them and the debt that came with it.
From buying “just” one dress to buying so many dresses that you’re broke in one day.

It’s from “just” thinking about and lusting for somebody else than your partner to cheating on your partner once, and to cheating every week. It’s from “just” watching innocent pictures of undressed women to living a sinful, adulterous life.

From “just” one nose job to a whole body job, and from just wearing make-up a few times a week to wearing it every day to “can’t walk out the door without it.”

From “just” one try at the casino, gambling, and playing poker to “can’t go a day without it” and being addicted. To “just” one more try today, even though I’ve already lost hundreds of dollars the last few years and I keep getting in more and more debt and are destroying my family.

Compromising slowly but surely makes your sins greater and greater, and it’s so discrete that you don’t even know it before it’s too late and you’ve crossed the line.

There’s no such thing as “just one time,” there shouldn’t be a time at all where you sin or compromise “just a little bit.” Stop pushing your boundaries further and further away, because eventually you’ll lose control and have no boundaries at all, and end up in a great mess that you don’t know how to get out of.

Money Is The Root Of All Evil

1 Timothy 6:9:
But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction.

For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many grieves.
All evil sin comes from lust and desires, and the lust for money causes many to sin and fall. It starts with lust, then with compromising and then ends up with sin.

Most of us have seen those movies where the devil says to a person: If you give me your soul, I will give you all the material wealth you want; then we see the person living a “great, wealthy” life and dying and spending eternity in hell. And it’s not just in the movies it happens.
People sell their souls for less in these days, and they do it little by little by compromising their values and crossing their boundaries little by little.

Today the devil says: “If you just compromise and take that job where you have to lie, deceive, and manipulate all the time, then you will earn a lot of money in a short time, and you’ll be rich. Then you can buy yourself a nice car and a nice house, and you can be with all the women you want; if you just sell your soul by compromising God’s will and commandments.” And that is what you do when you compromise to get money.

We see people around us that are bad, wicked, and evil, with all this wealth, and it looks like their lives are so great. And we think to ourselves: “Why do good things happen to bad people?”
What we don’t think about is the consequences they eventually have to reap by living selfish, deceitful, abusive, and manipulative lives. Instead of envying them we should feel sorry for them and pray for them.

Don’t lie, deceive, or manipulate to get money, don’t steal to get money, don’t murder to get money, don’t sell drugs for money, don’t strip to get money, don’t take nude photos to get money, and don’t act in, sing or create wicked songs or movies to get money.

Do not compromise doing evil just to get money; it is not worth the momentary gain for the great loss it leads to.
You sell your soul by doing evil things to get money, and for what? When you die, your money is gone, and so is your soul too, and what do you have left then? And what have you gained from it?

Jeremiah 17:10:
I, the LORD, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds. As a partridge that hatches eggs which it has not laid, so is he who makes a fortune, but unjustly; In the midst of his days it will forsake him, and in the end he will be a fool.
