Don’t Let Your Heart Die

Proverbs 4:23

Above everything else guard your heart, because from it flows the springs of life.

If your physical heart dies, then your physical body dies. If your spiritual heart dies, then your spiritual body and life will die as well.

If you eat too much unhealthy fats then it will clog up the veins and arteries that go towards your heart, and eventually this can cause your heart to stop and eventually die. But if you have too much bitterness, resentment, anger and hatred in your spiritual heart, then this will clog it up and cause it to die slowly but surely. This is why it is so important to guard and keep your heart clean and free from evil and wicked feelings and emotions. This is one of the reasons why it’s important to forgive and let go of any anger or resentment.

If you feel like your life is dark, cold and empty, then maybe it’s time to take a look at your heart, maybe it’s time to feed it with more, love, more compassion and more forgiveness. If your heart is filled with darkness and emptiness, then your life will be so as well.

In this world it’s easy to close our hearts and become cold and empty, when people hurt us we close our hearts to protect ourselves, but instead we are hurting ourselves by doing this. By trying not to feel anything we will eventually become cold, emotionless, and heartless. We are slowly but surely letting our hearts die by doing this.

So instead of blocking out people and the hurt they have caused you and become resentful and angry, choose to forgive. Instead of becoming cold and emotionless, then start to dare to feel again, stop being afraid of being hurt, stop being suspicious of all people and stop shutting everybody out. Because by doing this you are not helping yourself, you are hurting yourself.

You need to start trusting God and let Him help you to get healed by following His guidance. And God is telling you to help other people in pain to heal your own heart, and to heal your own pain, and to re-learn love and empathy.

You can heal your heart by being generous towards other people, because by helping others you are helping yourself and your own heart condition, so start healing your heart today it needs it.

1 Samuel 16: 7

For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.
