We Are The Temple Of God’s Holy Spirit

1 Corinthians 3:16:
Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?

1 Corinthians 6:19:
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.

Our bodies and minds are a temple, a temple where God’s Holy Spirit can reside. The more connected we are to God, through reading, writing, and listening to His word, the purer our minds and bodies will be, and the more powerfully He can work in us through our Holy Spirit.

God can’t live in us and lead us if we keep our minds and bodies filled with all kinds of noise, distractions, impurities, and wickedness. God’s Spirit cannot reside in anything unclean and impure.

What the Bible teaches us is that through Jesus we can get to the father and that we cannot get to our heavenly father without Him, we need Him to cleanse us before the Holy Spirit Of God can live in us. When we have become cleansed and washed through Jesus, then the Holy Spirit can live in us, and through it God can guide us to make right choices, choices that can lead us to Him and into His Kingdom. And just like we need an airplane to get to another country, we need Jesus to get to the Father’s Heavenly Kingdom. He’s the gate, the plane, and the channel that brings us to God.

We are not given a life to waste it; your life is valuable, and you need to value it and take care of it by making right choices for yourself and the people around you. The choices you make will affect the people around you, your children, and the next generation to come. Making right choices is a necessity and is a positive contribution to the society, and you need to learn to do things right if you want the best for the future and the people who will live in it. Let go of any worldly behavior, live in the Spirit, and don’t be ruled by the flesh; this is the only way you can live a righteous life that will lead you to the Kingdom of God.

You cannot love both God and the world, because the world is wicked and impure, but God is pure, righteous, and Holy.

John 14:6:
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

John 10:9:
I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture.

1 John 2:15:
Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever.

Walk By The Spirit

John 16:13

But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

Galatians 5:13:

For you were called to freedom, brethren; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, “You Shall Love Your Neighbor As Yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.

But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.
For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.

Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit. Let us not become boastful, challenging one another, envying one another.
