1 John 4:4:
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
God has given us the power and ability to overcome the evil in this world with good; the godly powers in us are stronger than the wickedness of this world. Any difficulty or evil we experience in this world, we can overcome if we follow God’s Word and guidance. No matter how hard, painful, or difficult the things we are experiencing, we can overcome it if we use God as our shield and strength.
You need the Strength of the Holy Spirit to succeed and have victory, because that’s what God works through, and you strengthen it by spending daily time with God by reading, listening to, and writing His Word and by spending time in prayer.
When we have faith and focus on God, His Word, pray, help, and do good deeds, we are strengthening our Spirit and the Power that comes with it.
The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.” Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you.
Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”
Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; in no way alarmed by your opponents—which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God.
For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now here to be free in me.
Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
