Yes Jesus Loves You

“I loved you even at your worst.”

God’s love is unconditional, but people’s love is conditional. People love you based on what you can do for them, some base it on how you look, how you dress, material wealth, status, and career. And as soon as you change, they leave. Unconditional love loves on good days and bad days; when a person is at their best and when they are at their worst, when a person is at the top or at the bottom. This is God’s kind of love, a love that is there for you no matter what you do or what happens to you.

God loves you unconditionally regardless of your past mistakes, regardless of looks, status, or material wealth, whether you’re perfect or imperfect. You don’t have to be afraid of losing God’s love for you just because you haven’t always been your best.

God’s love isn’t based on a perfect performance, but it’s based on having the right heart that is willing to serve and be righteous.

You don’t have to earn God’s love by accomplishments; He knows and sees your future potential and forgets your past mistakes and failures. His mercy is new every day, and if you didn’t do your best yesterday, His mercy is still new tomorrow. God loves the real you that’s behind all the walls and layers of hurt, pain, mistakes, and bitterness. The real you who are behind your profession and all the accomplishments you’ve made.  If you have a child that has just learned to walk and he or she at times falls, you won’t get mad at them or love them less because of this. This is the kind of love God has for us; if you fall while you’re learning to walk, God still loves you just as much.

There’s nobody that will love you like God does, and there’s nobody you should love more. God is our father, and as a parent He loves us no matter what. This is the kind of love we should have for the people around us, and we should surround ourselves with people with this kind of unconditional love for us.

“I’ve seen you at your worst, and I still think you are the best.
