Labor Pain (P.U.S.H)

When a woman is in labor and goes through intense pain and pressure, she might scream to the one delivering her baby: “I can’t do this!” Still the deliverer tells her to continue to “Push.” What? Push harder? Pushing causes more pain, and you want me to push some more?

Wouldn’t it be great if there existed an epidural for the most intense, painful moments in life, and we’d instantly be released from our pain?

What you’re going through is not meant to hurt you, but it’s meant to deliver you, answer your prayers and deliver the promised breakthrough to you.

Many people have gone through seasons in their lives when their only prayer was “God, please deliver me from this situation.” But He didn’t. There have been times they’ve prayed time and time again, prayed night and day, month after month, year after year and prayed without ceasing. They’ve tried and used every principle in the Bible, tithed, done good deeds, faith and used their gifts and talents, and used the name of Jesus and deliverance prayers. But nothing happened, nothing worked.

When you’re in the midst of pain all you want is to be delivered and released. The last thing you want to hear is “Keep pushing.”

Maybe you’ve gone through seasons where you’ve felt pressed and oppressed at every side. Maybe you’ve felt alone, and felt despair, distress and sadness. Maybe you’ve cried tears alone with no one there to comfort you. Maybe you’ve gone through things in loneliness that no one should have to go through. But the truth is that “to those whom much is given much is required”, and if you want the promise you have to push through the pain.

The painful truth is that if you want the promise on the next level you’ll have to be able to deal with the pressures, burdens, pain and responsibilities on this level.

If you can’t handle the pain, pressure and responsibilities on this level, then you’re not ready for the next level. If you can’t deal with the people gossiping about you, hating on you and criticizing you on this level, then you’re not ready for the next level. If you’re still barking at every dog, being upset with every negative comment, then you still need more preparation. God loves you too much to put you out there before you’re strong enough and ready.

With practice comes strength. Many women have painful periods every month and the pain is similar to birth pain in a lesser degree. As periods are exposing and preparing women to the birth pain and process, God is also preparing you for the pain of the process and the promise.

God is exposing you to the pain of the promise on a lower level, so you can be able to deal with it on a higher level when the time is right and when you’re ready.

When it comes to the point that you understand the price and pain that comes with the promise you might also like a woman in labor want to say “I can’t do this, I can’t push any more. It’s too painful.” But you have to push, for the sake of your baby, for the sake of your promise, your destiny, your family and the people that will be affected by your deliverance. You can’t give up now, the baby is almost here, the deliverance is so close that you have to keep pushing a little bit more. You are allowed to cry, you are allowed to scream, but you have to keep pushing until you have been delivered and you’re holding your promise in your hands.

I know some of you reading this may not understand the spiritual significance of labor; you’ve not arrived to that part of the process yet. But I know that some of you reading this are in this part of the process and at the Edge of Breakthrough and you’re saying to yourself “I can’t do this anymore, I can’t keep pushing.” I’m here to tell you; Yes You Can, Keep Pushing, you’re almost there!

You Need to Trust The Process, and the process is Pain and the process requires Time and Patience.

Wouldn’t it be great if a pregnancy lasted only a month and then the baby was delivered without the pregnancy discomforts and without the labor pain? If you’ve ever talked with parents to a premature baby, you understand how important it is to go through the process until the due date.

Don’t hurry, don’t rush the process. Trust God’s timing and wait for the Due Date of your Breakthrough.
